Company

The Milhous Company has operated continuously for 28 years designing and producing electro-magnets of all characteristics, including resistive and super conducting for commercial entities and national laboratories. The Milhous Company facility, equipment, personnel, and experience have executed many types of jobs - from prototype to production - to successfully meet our customers’ stringent specifications.

Milhous Company purchased the EMF (Electro Magnetic Filter) product line from Areva NP Inc., a world leader in the design and construction of nuclear power plants in May of 2007. We had been the prime vendor to Areva for over 25 years in support of the EMF production. Areva’s desire to focus on designing and building nuclear power plants led to their selling the successful EMF system to a company familiar with the EMF, its customer base and one capable of growing the business line.

Our facility houses a complete CNC tool room for the fabrication of mandrels, molds and magnet parts required for any project. Our testing equipment includes Baker testing equipment for surge and hi-pot testing of coils and completed magnets, enabling us to fully comply with all testing requirements put forth in many specifications. Winding machines and equipment in our facility for assembly are unparalleled in the industry.

The Milhous Company has a long history of service to the National Laboratory system and commercial interests. Our reputation of dependability, successful contract completion and lasting relationships, has made us the sole vender of choice.
